Canoeing, boating, fishing, and swimming are allowed in the Otis Reservoir placed in the heart of Tolland State Forest.

Both staging areas have direct access to ATV trails. The forest’s 11,000-acre size also houses picnic areas, paved biking paths, and pavilions.

7. Capeway Rovers

This privately owned motocross park is known as the oldest track on the east coast. It was established in 1934 and was initially located just behind Chase Chevrolet. Today, it is situated near the cranberry bogs and regularly holds motocross events all year round. Every New England dirt bike legend has run this track during their career.

The route is made up of sand and loose dirt and a loop that amateurs will surely enjoy. The starting gate is made of a concrete pad and is regularly maintained and watered. 8. Wrentham State Forest

Enjoy a full day of riding in this 20-acre property with elevation up to 615 ft. For new riders, they have a peewee track for you to practice and offer lessons as well. 12. October Mountain State Forest

With a whopping 16,500-acre size, October Mountain is the largest state forest in Massachusetts. It offers a range of activities, like camping, hiking, and swimming. Inside this forest runs a 27-mile marked trail. With its mix of long loops, wet spots, and rugged rocky terrain, it is an enjoyable challenge for expert riders.
